Here we are, the first day of a new year. So many possibilities and experiences await us. I, personally, have many projects I want to start (and hopefully finish) this year. My second book, The Art of Broadsword Fighting for Stage and Screen, will be released in April of this year. You can pre-order it HERE starting in March. I have a couple of other book projects in the works, along with more articles and reviews, as I have grown to love writing in its many forms.

One area I want to focus on is my photography. This will include weekly blog posts with food and sometimes recipes. This year I hope to master Adobe’s Lightroom and get much better at editing photos. I still feel I am very weak in that area. As you can see by the photo above, one of my photo projects is going to focus on burgers. First, I love burgers. I could eat them almost every day, as there are so many varieties one can enjoy. Secondly, the multi-textured burger makes for an excellent challenge in photography. As the old saying goes “If you’re not challenging yourself, you’re not growing”. I will still be doing photos of other meals and recipes throughout the year, however, I am going to try to do one burger a week.

Another aspect I am looking to improve upon is my consistency with posting here and on social media. My goal is to have one post a week, usually on Mondays, with an occasional post on Wednesday or Thursday. I would love to grow my audience reach on here and in all social media platforms. Right now I am focusing on Instagram and Pinterest. Do you have a suggestion for another platform my post would work with? If so leave a comment below.
