Hello, welcome, come on in, I’ve got some news for you.

So, to start, I have a very good friend named Kostis Protopapas, who I have been fortunate to know for over 20 years. He has been not only a great friend but a major influence and mentor in the world of opera to me. We first worked together back with Tulsa Opera in the early 2000s. Since then, we have worked together multiple times with multiple companies. He is now the General Director at Opera Santa Barbara. We have talked about getting me out there over the past few years, but timing never worked out. Until now.

I am excited to announce I will be fight directing Zorro with Opera Santa Barbara April 19 & 21. Not only will I be fight directing, but I will also be solder # 2. Which is what the show should really be called – ‘Solder #2 and that Zorro guy’, but they shortened it to just ‘Zorro’, oh well (and before you ask, it is a non-singing character).

In other news:

I have been working on this website, restructuring it. I’m still not 100% happy with it, but I feel it is getting better. That’s the problem with not being a web designer, and not being able to afford a professional. There is still more work to do, and I will get to it, once I figure out what this site needs. If you have suggestions let me know. I am open to all advice and opinions.

My second book will be available for pre-order soon. I will make a huge post about that, so don’t worry, you won’t miss it.

March and April look to be busy months for me, but I will do my best to get a blog post a week done.
